Well, I know that I have been flip-flopping on what I want to do for the rest of my life, but I think that I found my niche. I am considering going back to Rockland Community College for my paralegal certificate. I tried the psychology route and after Physiological Psychology, I was like “This isn’t for me”. I watch a lot of Court TV and that is truly where my heart is. I realized that I have to do what I love and not what others say what I would be good at.
I believe that our legal system is crucial for our existence and without it, we would be a mess as a country. I want to be a paralegal because I want to help litigants get the justice they deserve. I am old-fashioned and believe that justice should be served fairly and equally. It isn’t as prestigious as a doctor or a lawyer, but I really feel I belong in this profession and I think my family supports that.
I will keep you posted to what I do, but I think that I will stick with this. For young people out there, please don’t feel confused if you don’t know what you want to do for the rest of your life. It took me a long time to get on the right path, but I think I finally found what I want to do and you will too. It takes time to find a true passion that you will stick with for the rest of your life, but eventually, you’ll find it.
