As the seasons of Advent and Christmas sneak up on us, I thought that I would share a prayer with you.
Lord, I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision and protection. As I face tough choices and hard situations, help me remember my belovedness, help me remember that I am Your child and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to Your holy name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I wanted to say that even though life gets busy, we need to remember what’s important to us. I especially wanted to tell the college students that they will get through the semester. I know that the semesters can seem perpetual, but hang in there. It is almost done. I know I got a heavy load of schoolwork to do. But it’s going to be over soon.. Have some faith and all will be good.
Alright everybody. It has been a crazy year. Thanksgiving is tomorrow and the Christmas season is coming. My advice may contradict the Christmas hustle and bustle, but relax with family and friends. Get together and talk over a cup of coffee. Meet up at a party. Whatever it is, just go enjoy yourself.
And another piece of advice. Include the elderly, lonely, people with disabilities or anyone else in need. Invite the hungry, weak or the sick. We all have differences, but it’s time to put those aside and enjoy time together. Do something charitable. Let the arguments with your siblings go and enjoy each other.
I hope my advice was helpful and everyone has a day full of love and gratitude.
I had to do a mock interview Monday night. It went very well.
One of the lawyers that I interviewed with was a Civil Litigation attorney from New York City and he was asking what I can and can’t do. I had my resume with me and I was shaking like a leaf because I have very limited work experience. He’s checking it out and finally he says that he’s interested in hiring me. I stupidly didn’t take his card because I wanted to stay in my county and work, but I realize now that I should have.
I did another interview with a woman that does job placement and it she was asking me what I like and what I am looking for. After the interview, she wanted me to come see her to help me get a job. I was so excited.
I have to say, doing the paralegal program was the best program that I did and I have no regrets. And having the Bachelors in psychology makes me look good. I feel that I could land a job soon.
