So last night I checked my e-mail and a friend of mine wrote me. He had not written in awhile and there are two things in the e-mail I would like to share with you.
First there was a video of a boy about ten-years-old and he had cerebral palsy. He wasn’t in a wheelchair, but his walking was affected. The school he went to had a running event that he and the other kids were involved in running about a mile. I’m not sure what the event was for, but the kids started running and this boy ran with the other children. Yes, it took him longer to complete the run, but he completed it. Everyone started chanting his name and the boy finished the race. It gave me more encouragement to fulfill my dreams for the future.

The second item I would like to share with you is that this guy has a friend with cerebral palsy and is one of the few pilots in the world with a disability. I was introduced to him via e-mail. He offered to take me flying in an airplane. The plane would be adapted to my needs. Unfortunately, I turned the offer down because I am afraid of heights.
My message for today is don’t give up on your dreams. You’ll never know what life will throw at you. One door might close, but another one will open.
